Where We Started

The story of Art of Optiks began with a simple idea: eye care could be both medically advanced and aesthetically inspiring. When Timothy Haupert, OD, and Stephanie Haenes, ABOC, established the practice in 2001, they set out to create a more thoughtful optical experience for patients throughout the Twin Cities, including Golden Valley.

 

From the very beginning, the focus has been on individualized care and exceptional service. Our doctors, opticians, and clinical team work closely together to deliver thorough eye health evaluations while building meaningful relationships with patients. We take pride in providing clear explanations, thoughtful recommendations, and the time necessary for patients to feel confident about their vision and eye health.

 

Art of Optiks has also become known as a destination for independent eyewear. Our optical boutique features limited-production frames created by skilled artisans from around the world. Because we maintain an on-site lab and an experienced optical team, we guide patients through every stage of the process—from eye exam to lens crafting and final fitting. The result is an experience that seamlessly blends clinical expertise with exceptional design.
