Improve your vision with contacts, a versatile everyday eyewear. Contacts provide comfort and flexibility for every kind of lifestyle.
If you’re tired of wearing glasses every day or just want some versatility in your eyewear, contact lenses can be a great alternative. They can be used as a primary source of vision correction instead of glasses or simply as a secondary option. Some patients choose to wear contacts for special occasions, sports, or even just on the weekends. The doctors at our Wayzata eye clinic want you to be as comfortable as possible, so if you’re interested in wearing contact lenses, we encourage you to schedule an appointment. One of our experienced doctors would be happy to help you start the process.
We prioritize providing our patients with the best possible experience at Art of Optiks Wayzata. We want all of our patients to have the best possible contact lens consultation and fitting service to make sure they find the right contacts to match their lifestyle. Our doctors will always take the time to get to know you and your life so that they can make the best recommendations for your eyes. Thanks to years of experience, patients will be treated to an informative visit that takes care of all of their contact lens needs.
Keeping up with new developments in the contact lens industry is essential since constant innovations improve contact lens comfort, convenience, and accessibility. Our Wayzata doctors are committed to keeping up with these innovations so that they can find the best solution for your unique needs. First, our doctors need to make sure you’re a good candidate for contact lenses, considering factors like lifestyle and health habits. Certain eye conditions like astigmatism and dry eye syndrome might make wearing contacts hard. Our Wayzata eye doctors will thoroughly evaluate your vision needs to make sure contacts are the right choice for your eyes. Some of the lenses offered at our practice include:
If you’re worried about the transition from glasses to contacts, which can be intimidating for some, we offer a one-on-one class at our Wayzata clinic to ensure you feel comfortable about your choice. If contacts are entirely new to you, we will help you learn proper insertion techniques and removal procedures to help you build your confidence around contact wearing.
Dry eye is a condition that is actually more common than you might think. This condition occurs when your eyes aren’t getting enough lubrication from your tears. Common symptoms of dry eye include:
Some people may feel that their dryness limits their ability to wear contacts successfully. But we are here at our Wayzata clinic with solutions made just for you! Our doctors actually have contacts to treat dry eye disease and use the very best technology to combat your dryness.
Astigmatism is another common eye condition and refers to the irregular shape of the eye’s front surface. This uneven curvature causes blending of light rays or improper refraction. Common symptoms of astigmatism include:
Individuals experiencing mild to moderate astigmatism can usually find relief with eyeglasses or contact lenses because the correction compensates for uneven curves in your lens and cornea. If you notice any of these symptoms, our Wayzata eye doctors will conduct a comprehensive eye exam to determine if you have astigmatism.
Our doctors at the Wayzata clinic will always pair you with comfortable contact lenses that fit your lifestyle. Everyone’s eyes are unique, so each person will require their own specific lens. It is suggested to schedule a comprehensive eye exam before you are fitted with contact lenses to ensure your eyes are healthy for contact wear. We want to make sure there are no underlying health conditions that would prevent you from contact lens use. Our friendly technicians will help you learn how to put your contacts in and take them out while ensuring they are comfortable enough for daily wear. Our Wayzata doctors will also take various eye measurements to make sure the lenses properly fit your eyes and have the correct angles and curvature to fit your eye shape.
We want every patient at our Wayzata eye clinic to have an excellent contact lens experience so that you leave with lenses that fit comfortably and correctly enhance your vision. We offer various materials, types, sizes, and colors of contact lenses for all patients. Please bring up any questions you may have or contact brands you are interested in trying during your contact fitting appointment.
First-time contact wearers are recommended to go through a contact lens fitting process so that both you and your doctor are comfortable with your prescription. For most patients, this fitting only requires one session. In some cases, multiple appointments might be necessary to ensure you have the right contact lenses for your eyes. Our team of doctors at Art of Optiks Wayzata will always give you personalized care instructions specific to your contact lens needs. During your appointment, we will discuss the following contact lens care tips and guidelines:
