What do you love the most about optical?

“It’s a tie, either finding a frame that someone just falls in love with, or working with a patient who has always had trouble with their glasses and figuring out what the cause is using scientific process.”

How do you spend your ideal Sunday?

“Brunch and Mimosas with great friends!”

What was your first job?

“Ha ha, I don’t remember a time that I didn’t have a job! I grew up on a small farm and as soon as you could stand, you worked! My first non-family farm job was in high school working as a photographer’s assistant.”

How many pairs of glasses do you own?

“Around 20 ophthalmic and 10 suns!! I regularly donate pairs I no longer wear or that number would be so much higher!”

If you could only wear one pair of glasses for the rest of your life, what would they be and why?

“I just can’t. I need them all! Glasses express your mood just as much as any other part of your wardrobe, or piece of jewelry. I’m very big on displaying my mood as a piece of art through everything I wear.”

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

“I’m not very surprising. I like cats, food, art, and science. Maybe my age? No, I’m not telling you how old I am.”

What is the first concert you ever attended?

“Violent Femmes.”

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

“Telekinesis”

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you spend it?

“Read with my cat, it’s our thing.”

Who is your favorite frame designer and why?

“Jacques Marie Mage. The designs are bold, but also wearable by those that are afraid to go out of their comfort zone. The details are beautiful and the color choices are spot on!”
