KREWE Glasses: A New Orleans Original
From its unique design and high-end quality to cultural drawings from the diverse city of New Orleans, KREWE finds its origins through planners of festivals like Mardi Gras. Stirling Barrett founded KREWE sunglasses in 2013, selling them from the back of a cart in New Orleans. Less than a decade later, KREWE launched its optical collection in 2017 in true NOLA visionary style.
In a few short years, the company expanded its operations, and KREWE has grown from one employee and design studio in the French Quarter to six retail locations across the United States. Art of Optiks is proud to supply high-end KREWE eyewear at both our Edina and Wayzata locations. Upon purchase, you will receive a hard leather case, cleaning cloth, and certificate of authenticity.
Cartier first produced eyeglasses for the public in 1983, aiming to bring luxury quality to glasses and sunglasses for men and women. Art of Optiks is proud to supply authentic Cartier glasses at both our Edina and Wayzata locations. Each pair of eyeglasses comes complete with a hard leather case, cleaning cloth, and certificate of authenticity.
KREWE Jazzing Up Its Eyewear by Design
KREWE eyewear is designed by talented creatives at the New Orleans HQ with materials sourced from throughout Europe and Asia. Each pair is hand-assembled by family-owned factories before arriving for final detailing and inspection.
The eccentric design of KREWE eyewear is created with the culture and influence of The Big Easy, but its new collaborative effort with Reformation keeps Mother Earth top of mind with its first line of biodegradable frames.
Known for their impressive durability and eccentric design, every small-batch frame is crafted with the finest metals, including titanium and 24K gold-plated hardware that will take you from day to night in style.
Discover KREWE Sunglasses and Optical Wear
Every pair of KREWE glasses has shatter-resistant lenses providing 100 percent UVA and UVB protection, and have anti-scratch and smudge coating. If you damage your first pair of KREWE eyewear, KREWE will replace them because they truly believe in Second Chances.
Today, KREWE has 87 employees with nearly 100 frames launched. The business is no longer fledgling and gives back to the city of New Orleans through the KREWE Foundation. The KREWE Foundation was created in 2018 with the goal of providing every local public high school student with access to both free optical care and free prescription KREWE eyewear.
